As the 2015 Peninsula Oilers baseball roster is nearly complete, the O’s are excited to announce the addition of right-handed pitcher Cory Abbott, a freshman from San Diego. Cory is joining the 2015 Oilers from Loyola Marymount. Abbott is being used primarily in relief at Loyola Marymount under the tutelage of pitching coach Dan Ricabal, who was a member of the 1991 Oilers.

Other new additions include Eckerd College infielder-utility player Adam Moreau (a redshirt sophomore from Toledo, Ohio), Appalachian State University right-handed pitcher Travis Holden (a freshman from Advance, North Carolina) and UC Riverside right-handed pitcher Jordan Kron (a redshirt sophomore from Manteca, California).

Anyone interested in joining the Oilers organization as a member of the board of directors, a sponsor, advertiser or volunteer helper at the ballpark is urged to contact the office at 283-7133. Additional Oilers information may be found at www.oilersbaseball.com.

Oilers Corner is submitted by Mike Baxter of the Alaska Baseball League team.
