The Oilers 2016 roster continues to expand with the addition of a pair of freshmen. West Virginia University outfielder Darius Hill of Dallas and University of Tennessee-Martin left-handed pitcher Dom Bazzani of Stockbridge, Georgia, have recently returned their signed contracts and will be joining the Alaska Baseball League team.

The team is still looking for a few more host families to help in providing housing for the college players for the summer season. Players will begin arriving early in June and depart at the end of the season in early August. Nearly half of the time will be spent on the road and out of town. Transportation to and from team events will be provided by the Oilers team. For more information, contact Diana Tice at the Oilers office at 283-7133, Ext. 0.

Oilers Corner is submitted by Mike Baxter, general manager of baseball operations who can be contacted at gm@oilersbaseball.com.
