Ninilchik’s Vanderford moves to 9-0 in pro MMA

Austin Vanderford, a 2008 graduate of Ninilchik School, improved to 9-0 in his professional mixed martial arts career with a victory over Grachik Bozinyan at Bellator 234 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The event happened late Thursday night Alaska time.

Vanderford, who won an NAIA wrestling title for Southern Oregon University at 184 pounds in 2012, is now 3-0 in Bellator. He did it against a fighter who came in with a 10-3 record. Vanderford won by unanimous decision.
