Ninilchik boys take 7th straight win

The host Ninilchik basketball team defeated Homer’s junior varsity 73-68 on Monday.

The Wolverines have now won seven straight games after a season-opening loss. Ninilchik has scored 70 points or more in five of those seven wins.

Ninilchik led 22-18 after a quarter, 39-35 after two quarters and 55-48 after three quarters.

Landon Colburn poured in 26 points to lead the Wolverines, while Jaylin Scott had 18 and Tom Nelson pumped in 16. George Nelson added 11 points for Ninilchik, while Brandon Ducker pitched in with two.
