Nikiski girls, Seward boys basketball win

The Nikiski and Seward basketball teams split Southcentral Conference games Thursday in Seward, with the Nikiski girls winning 56-24 and the Seward boys winning 50-39.

Bethany Carstens led the way for Nikiski with 22 points, while Emma Wik added 10. For Seward, Riley VonBorstel led the way with seven points.

For Seward, Jonah Deboard led the way with 14 points, while Hunter Kratz pitched in 11. Ian Johnson paced Nikiski with 20 points.
