Isaev, Mitchell take Celebrate Life! run

Leonid Isaev and Michelle Mitchell won the Celebrate Life! 5K Run and Walk on Saturday at the Soldotna Bible Chapel.

Isaev finished the course in 18 minutes, 26 seconds, while Mitchell crossed the line in 19:40.

The event is annually free to the public and held the first Saturday in August.

The event had 161 participants, with 34 runners and 127 walkers. The event also included 50 volunteers, 20 sponsors and multiple in-kind contributors.
