Homer tops Kenai in softball

The host Homer softball team defeated Kenai Central 20-5 on Tuesday in Northern Lights Conference action.

Cierra King took the loss for the Kardinals, while Annalyn Brown picked up the win for the Mariners.

For Homer, Elsie Smith was 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs, Malina Fellows was 2 for 4 with four RBIs and two runs, Kaitlyn Johnson was 2 for 2 with two runs, Annali Metz and Miranda Martin scored three runs, Becca Chapman scored two runs, Mary Hana Bowe had two runs and two RBIs, and Briana Hetrick was 2 for 2 with two RBIs.

For Kenai, King finished 1 for 2 with two RBIs.
