Soldotna skier Sadie Fox led Kenai Peninsula skiers by taking third in the “A” final in classic sprint skiing at the Besh Cup in Fairbanks.

The races were originally supposed to be held at Tsalteshi Trails just outside of Soldotna, but were moved to Fairbanks due to lack of snow.

Lack of snow also obviously affected Fox’s training, but that didn’t stop her from winning her quarterfinal and taking third in her semifinal to get into the “A” final.

In the girls Under-16 races, Addison Gibson of Kenai led the area by taking fourth in the “B” final.
