Fat-tire event canceled at Tour of Tsalteshi

Staff report

The first fat-tire bike race as part of the Tour of Tsalteshi has been canceled due to weather, while organizers are still planning to hold the ski event, according to the Facebook page of Tsalteshi Trails.

The tour is in its fifth year and was planning to have a fat-tire bike race after the ski race for the first time.

After all the rain this week, though, organizers did not think the trail would be firm enough for a bike race Sunday. Race organizers are still hopeful the trail will freeze enough Saturday night and Sunday morning for the ski race to go off.

More details are available at Tsalteshi’s Facebook page.
