Croix Evingson of the Kenai River Brown Bears made the National Hockey League’s “Prospects to Watch” list for 2016 draft-eligible players.

Evingson, of Anchorage, is on the “C” list, marking him as a fourth-, fifth- or sixth-round candidate. The defenseman is listed at 6-foot-2, 181 pounds on the list.

Evingson has played in six games for the Bears this year and does not have a point. He is minus-6.

The Bears are on the road Friday and Saturday at the Minnesota Wilderness. The puck drops at 4:30 p.m. ADT both nights.

But there is hockey action at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex on Friday, when the University of Alaska Anchorage plays Mt. Royal in an exhibition game at 7:07 p.m. The game marks the return of former Soldotna and Brown Bears skater Brad Duwe, as well as former Bears skaters Alex Jackstadt and Evan Hauser.
