Colony swimmers sweep Palmer Invite

The Colony girls and boys swimming and diving teams swept the Palmer Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Palmer.

The Knights girls scored 120 points, while Kodiak was second with 56. From the Kenai Peninsula, Soldotna was fourth with 50, Kenai was fifth with 33 and Seward was ninth with two.

On the boys side, Colony won with 74, while Kodiak had 54. From the peninsula, Seward tied for third with 49, Kenai was fifth with 48 and Soldotna was sixth with 22.

Samuel Anderson took the 100-yard backstroke and 200 freestyle for the Kardinals.

For Seward, Paxton Hill won the 100 butterfly and Jackson Bird won the 100 breaststroke. Hill and Bird also combined with Bengimin Ambrosiani and Nickolas Ambrosiani to win the 100 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
