Colony girls, boys sweep swimming, diving team titles at Palmer Invite

The Colony girls and boys swimming and diving teams swept the Palmer Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Palmer High School.

The Knights girls collected 108 points, while Palmer was runner-up with 79. Kenai was fourth, Soldotna was fifth and Seward was seventh.

The Colony boys piled up 128 points, with runner-up Kenai finishing with 60. Soldotna was fifth.

The lone individual title from the Kenai Peninsula went to Soldotna’s Michael Davidson. He won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 9.19 seconds.

The peninsula teams are off until the Region 3 meet on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31, Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, in Kodiak.

SoHi hockey won the End of the Road tournament in Homer and the wrestling team gained 20 individual wins.
