Bird Homestead Golf Report: Course opens for season

Bird Homestead Golf Course is now open for the 2021 season. We had a spectacular start to men’s night, with 23 men coming out to play Tuesday.

The winning team with Roy Bird, Mike Fastabend, Rich Harmon and Bob came in with minus-3. Second place, with even par, went to Dusty, JE Wells, Andy and Larry Taylor. Roy was also the winner of pure birdie, and Andy with long drive.

Ladies night on Thursday night brought out nine ladies. Faith Link was unstoppable, not only winning long drive, and closest to the pin on No. 6, but also winning first place with Judy Ward and Kelsey Slough.

We have added fling stick Friday this summer at Bird Homestead. If you haven’t heard of fling golf come out to Mile 11.8 Funny River Road to try it. It is fun for the entire family, and requires zero golf talent.
