Baisden to play soccer for The Masters

Staff report

Kenai Central senior James Baisden signed a National Letter of Intent on Thursday to play NAIA soccer with The Masters University in Santa Clarita, California.

Baisden, a team captain for the Kardinals, has been on the varsity level for four years. During that time, Kenai won the Division II state championships in 2018 and 2019. Those soccer state titles are the first in school history.

Also at Kenai, Baisden played basketball for four years — two at the varsity level — and football for two years.

Baisden has a grade-point average of 4.0 and will pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.
