Superhero 5K results posted

David Isaak and Heather Moon won the third annual Superhero 5K on Saturday at the Kenai Park Strip.

The race is put together by the Kenaitze Indian Tribe to support Kenai Peninsula CASA and the work they do with foster children and youth in our community.

There were 108 registered, and 98 superheroes making the run in costume.

Isaak was the top men’s finisher at 20 minutes, 7 seconds, while Bill Taylor was second at 21:13 and Jamie Nelson was third at 22:17. Moon was the top women’s finisher, and second overall, with a 20:59. Chelsea Van Sickle was second at 24:57, while Emily Knight was third at 25:26.
