The 32nd annual Sweeney’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, hosted by the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce, will be held Friday — and is certain to feature both candy and the color green in plentiful supply.
Starting at 4:30 p.m., the parade will proceed from Parker Park down Fireweed Lane, then turn down Redoubt Avenue toward the Kenai Spur Highway and Sweeney’s Clothing. The parade will disperse near the Y.
Those interested in walking with the parade can just show up at Parker Park at 4 p.m. Flyers for the event read “no need to sign up, just line up!”
