A Kenai man was arrested early Friday morning after allegedly robbing a coffee stand in Kenai at knifepoint.

Kenai police officers arrested Seth Byers, 19, in connection with a robbery at Shorty’s Coffee stand on Frontage Road around 4:49 a.m. Friday. A caller reported a robbery by someone armed with a knife who demanded money, according to a press release from the Kenai Police Department.

“Officers located the suspect approximately 10 minutes after he fled from the scene,” the press release states.
