Poet’s Corner: Ride the Ridges

Ride the Ridges

By Bonnie Marie Playle, Soldotna

Ride the ridges,

stay out of the ruts.

God makes bridges,

when life gets tough.

Life can be mean

not always serene.

Sometimes my plans don’t always work out.

Then I’m upset and want to shout.

People come broken,

but WAIT just a moment.

Give a warm smile, with a kind word spoken.

I try to keep happy, joyous and free,

for all the hurting world to see.

I said it once, I’ll say it again.

Ride the ridges,

stay out of the ruts.

God makes bridges,

when life gets tough.
