Poet’s Corner: A Romantic Love

A Romantic Love

By Brett Van Sickle, Kenai

Sometimes I think I’m dreaming, thinking about me and you.

I know how are lives have been, just wanting a love that’s true.

From the first time that I saw you, my heart has felt so strong.

Yet I could not find the strength to say, that I’ve waited for you so long.

So as I stumbled over jumbled words, just to ask if maybe I could.

Take you to the beach to walk, so scarred I hoped you would.

From that nervous man you had never met, you let my heart run free.

This story that was made for books, that day that you found me.

Together a romantic love, my heart will always be true.

Your thought is always on my mind, for I will always come home to you.
