Poem: Every Hour

Every Hour

By Bill Lowe, Sterling

He is with me in the morning;

through every hour of daylight,

and holds me when it’s dark outside.

He’s close beside me every night.

Every day He watches over me,

summer, autumn, winter, spring;

every hour I find my comfort

in the arms of the risen King.

His tender touch is always near;

every hour throughout the day.

When I need to talk to Him,

He’s no further than a prayer away.

Whether mountain high, valley low,

or other place close to my heart,

every hour I see His beauty

in His majestic works of art.

Every hour His love is marvelous,

it’s absolute and true,

so every hour I give thanks to Him

for amazing grace undue.

Minister’s Message: Prudence prevents pain, and, possibly, fender benders

Parents carry the responsibility of passing down prudence and wisdom to their children.

This Library of Congress photo shows the U.S.S. Maine, which exploded and sank in the harbor at Havanna, Cuba, about the same time the Kings County Mining Company’s ship, the Agate left Brooklyn for Alaska. The Maine incident prompted the start of the Spanish-American War and complicated the mining company’s attempt to sail around Cape Horn.
