Clifford and Abby Struffert announce the births of their daughter, Teresa Pearl “Tess” Struffert, on Dec. 3, 2015 at 3:06 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. Her grandparents are Brad and Teresa Kiffmeyer, and Jeffrey and Pearl Struffert.

Soldotna resident Megan Neill, a communication sciences and disorders major at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, has been included on the dean’s list for grades achieved during the fall 2015 semester. To be eligible, a student must carry 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.

James Knox, a freshman Communication major from Ninilchik, was named to the Fall 2015 President’s List at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. This President’s List recognizes students who earn a 3.75 or higher GPA.

Events, wedding, engagement and birth submissions may not be older than six months. Wedding anniversary announcements are printed in five-year increments beginning with the 20th.

The Community page is a way to highlight activities and events that happen with a photo. If your group or organization has a photo of an event to share, submit the photo and the following information for print: Who took the photo, who’s in it, when and where it was taken, a brief description of what’s happening, and a name and phone number in case we have questions.
