Vacation Bible School

Youth group plans garage sale

The Star of the North Lutheran Church is having its Annual Youth Group Garage Sale July 17-18 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The church is located at 216 N. Forest Drive in Kenai. For more information, call 283-4153.

Nikiski Aglow to host author

Nikiski Aglow is hosting author and teacher Jeanette Strauss at a 7 p.m. meeting on Aug. 5. All are welcome. The meeting is at the Nikiski New Hope Christain Fellowship, at Mile 23 of the Kenai Spur Highway turn on Coringa to access. Jeanette will be testifying and teaching on “Throne Room Prayer” and intercession.

Apostolic Assembly plans youth activities

The Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ church youth group will be hosting events for middle school and high school kids.

Soldotna Food Pantry open weekly

The Soldotna Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for residents in the community who are experiencing food shortages. The Food Pantry is located at the Soldotna United Methodist Church at 158 South Binkley Street, and all are welcome.

Non-perishable food items or monetary donations may be dropped off at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or on Sunday from 9 a.m. until noon.

United Methodist Church provides food pantry

The Kenai United Methodist Church provides a food pantry for those in need every Monday from noon to 3 p.m. The Methodist Church is located on the Kenai Spur Highway next to the Boys and Girls Club. The entrance to the Food Pantry is through the side door. The Pantry closes for holidays.

Clothes 4 U at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church Soldotna, located at 159 S. Binkley Street, is re-opening its Clothes 4 U program. It is open on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. All clothing and shoes are free to the public.

Clothes Quarters open weekly

Clothes Quarters at Our Lady of the Angels Church is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the first Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 907-283-4555.
