Soldotna seniors say ‘mahalo’ for luau support

Soldotna Senior Center would like to thank all of the volunteers that worked tirelessly and all of the donors that supported our Hawaiian Luau fundraiser.

We would like to thank Senator Peter Micciche for taking time out of his busy schedule to be our auctioneer and his wonderful family for assisting with the outcry auction. We would also like to thank Estelle Parks and Dorothy Diamond for the many hours spent soliciting and picking up all the great donations, and to Bunny Chong for her choreography and teaching the amazing Hawaiian entertainment. Our hats of to the hula troupes Na Manu Olu and Pua Mae Ole for their performances.

We would like to thank George Parks, Al Chong, Ken Reichert, Gary Sheen and Ed Panus for hanging the ceiling netting and all of the decorators that made the Center so beautiful. Another special thank you to our chefs Al, Paul and Sam, kitchen assistant Dean, table setters, servers, silent auction attendees, cashiers, photographers and clean up crew.
