Senior Thanksgiving tradition continues

In a time when there is so much uncertainty in the global world, it is heart-warming to focus on our community that gives from the heart. We can look around our community and see a history of tradition in caring and coming together to celebrate each other. The Area-wide Senior Thanksgiving started in 1976 by a group of Redoubt Homemakers was carried down through the years through various companies. Hilcorp, has provided this tradition for the past 4 years and continued the event on Nov. 24. Many thanks to Hilcorp who provided funding for the meal, employees who volunteered their time to set up, serve and clean-up, provided door prizes and gifts for each senior who attended. Home meal clients from various senior centers even received a hot meal provided by Hilcorp. Thank you to all Hilcorp employees who gave of their time for this thanksgiving event. A big thank you goes out to the Senior Center Kitchen Staff who prepared the food for the Thanksgiving meal. The seniors enjoyed the fellowship of coming together, each other’s friendship and embraced the love expressed by each of the Hilcorp volunteers who gave of their time and energy for this event. Thank you Hilcorp!
