Great day for a bike rodeo

It was warm and sunny today for bike rodeo! Amazing community support of the Bike Rodeo makes it memorable, and educational for the students. The students learned about bike safety from Kenai Police Officer Alex Prins and assistant Gabe Boyle, their bikes were registered with the city of Kenai.

Students had helmets checked or purchased from Nurse Jane Fellman with Safe Kids, and enjoyed riding bikes on the course. In addition, the Beemuns Bike and Ski Loft’s own John Tabor provided tune ups for the students’ bikes. The Moose Lodge cheerfully cooked hotdogs for the students. Kaleidoscope’s PTA provided lunch snacks.

This event could not have been possible without many volunteers. Special thanks go out to the following terrific contributors: Officer Alex Prins, Nurse Jane Fellman, John Tabor, Moose Lodge, and KSAS PTA. Last, but not least, I would like to thank our parent volunteers.
