Obituary

Dana A. Sena-Wease

Former Kasilof resident Dana A. Sena-Wease died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in Anchorage. She was 43.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at the Wasilla Assembly of God Church, 125 West Glenn St. in Wasilla. Pastor Alan Humphries and Linda McGuire will officiate.

Mrs. Sena-Wease was born Oct. 7, 1964, in Libby, Mont. She moved to Anchorage in August 1974 and to Wasilla in 1976. She worked for West Coast Beauty Supply in Anchorage from 2006 until her death. Mrs. Sena-Wease enjoyed anything involving her daughter as well as reading, socializing, bike riding and being around family.

"We will all miss Dana's alacritous personality and vivacious wit, her unabated smile and impish tendencies. She never took life too seriously and couldn't help but make everyone around her laugh. She was a very spiritual person and when given the opportunity, she spoke of it with such passion and importance. She was very honest and real and never pretended to be someone she wasn't. The hearts of those who knew her will never quite be the same," her family said.

Mrs. Sena-Wease was preceded in death by her sister, Tamara K. Sena; mother, Evelyn Sena; and grandparents, Solomon and Mary Sena and Harold and Madalin Wilson.

She is survived by her daughter, Kaylee Ann Sena of Flagstaff, Ariz.; father, Benny Sena of Wasilla; brothers, David Sena and his wife, Laura, of Soldotna and Daren Sena and his wife, Tracy, of Wasilla; sister, Debbie Hildebrand and her husband, Ron, of Wasilla; nieces, Heather Willis and her husband, David, of Anchorage, Jessica Lemoine and her husband, Justin, of Wasilla and Karly Sena of Wasilla; nephews, Dustin Sena and Ron Hildebrand of Soldotna and Jeremy Hildebrand and Keaton Sena of Wasilla; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and husband, James Wease.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Dana Sena-Wease Memorial Fund for Kaylee's college, C/O Wells Fargo, 44552 Sterling Highway. Soldotna, AK 99669.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
