Cranberry Sauce Grand Marnier

4 cups (16--ounces) fresh cranberries

2 cups sugar

1 cup chopped dried apricots

1 cup water

1 cup orange juice

1 tablespoon grated fresh orange peel

1 tablespoon Grand Marnier liqueur

Combine cranberries, sugar, apricots, water, orange juice and orange peel in a large, heavy saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat, cover and boil until cranberries "pop," stirring occasionally, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Grand Marnier. Transfer mixture to a bowl.

Cover and refrigerate until cold. (Mixture will thicken as it cools.)

Can be prepared up to 4 days ahead. Keep chilled.

Yield 7-8 cups.
