Thanks for making pumpkin carving a great event

We are writing this letter to express the gratitude of the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center to those who made our Halloween Great Pumpkin Carving possible.

We would like to thank Pumpkin Cultivator Extraordinaire J.D. Megchelson of Nikiski for providing a beautiful, 319-pound pumpkin for us to carve and display. Joy Falls, of Kenai, did a fantastic job on carving over the course of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

We are also grateful to Ray Ortiz and Safeway of Kenai for providing 60 smaller pumpkins for families to take home and carve into their own creative visions of Halloween. It is only with support from our talented and generous community that such fun and unique events are possible at the Center.

We thank you.
