A memorial service will be held in Jerome, Idaho, at a later date.

Mrs. Burgoyne was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Gooding, Idaho, to Arlie and Jack Edwards. She grew up in Dietrich, Idaho where she was active in 4-H, competed on the basketball team and went on to graduate valedictorian of her high school class. After graduation she attended the University of Idaho at Moscow, where she received her BA in Home Economics.

"She was a devoted and loving wife and mother who spent her time caring for her family, sewing, quilting and making all who came into her life feel welcomed and loved. She spent her last days at home surrounded by her loving husband and children," her family said.
