Trick or Treat
Halloween is just around the next bend.
Put on a mask, make believe and pretend.
You can be someone else Halloween night.
Some are very cute, others are a fright.
Stores have new racks you can pick from,
or put on worn-out clothes to go as a bum.
Thrift stores get many clothes donations,
a very good time to use your imaginations.
Cut up a pumpkin; take out the inner goo.
Carve it happy or just make it say BOO.
It'll watch the house as you are treating,
getting the goodies you'll be later eating.
There're many places to go trick or treat;
a haunted house or just down the street,
at a local church or at the senior center;
it's lots of fun every door that you enter.
Get tons of teats; fill your bag to the top.
When it flows over, you may have to stop.
Make it last, there might not be anymore,
'cuz mom's done buying at the candy store.
If you're an adult going out Halloween night,
be extra careful and please do what's right.
Think and plan ahead if you decide to drink;
it wouldn't be wise sobering up in the brink.
