Sherman, Seymour marry

Jessica Erin Sherman and Cody Joseph Seymour were married in a afternoon ceremony Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Soldotna. Father Tony Dummer, OMI, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Guy F. and Colleen M. Sherman of Sterling. She is 2002 graduate of Soldotna High School. Jessica is employed by the Kenai Vision Center. Her gown was a ivory strapless floor-length dress and she carried a hand-tied bouquet of black magic and black bacara roses. Her attendants were good friends Tiffany Collinson and Megan Weed. Kassandra Feltman served as the flower girl for the ceremony.

The groom is the son of Robert and Lori Seymour of Kenai. He is a 1999 graduate Kenai Central High School. Cody is employed by Tesoro as an operator. He wore a black tux with ivory shirt. His attendants were best man and brother, Kris Seymour and groomsmen and cousins, Josh Feltman and Jerem Feltman. The gentlemen all wore matching tuxes and shirts.

Honored guests included the bride's paternal grandmother and her husband, George and Fay Gehring, of Hobe Sound, Fla.; bride's maternal grandmother, Ethel Rearden, of Reading, Pa.; groom's maternal grandparents, Robert and Jonebell Bainter, of Willimina, Ore.; groom's paternal grandmother, Marge Seymour of Anchorage; and groom's maternal uncle, Timothy Bainter, of Willimina, Ore.

The reception was held at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. The guests were served a three-tiered buttery yellow cake with combination raspberry, lingonberry and blueberry filling and a southern red velvet cake with cream cheese filling covered with a pearl finished fondant.

The couple make their home in Soldotna.
