Hutchins, McMichael announce nuptials

Lindsay Hutchins and George McMichael were married in an afternoon ceremony Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in Kenai. Jerry McGarry officiated.

The bride is the daughter of John and Mary Jo Davis of Kenai. She is a 2004 graduate of Cook Inlet Academy. Lindsay attends the University of Alaska Anchorage and is working on a bachelor's degree in biology. She wore a strapless, beaded, empire waist gown with a beaded train and chiffon overlay. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses with white stephanotis. The bride's attendants, wore navy blue strapless dresses with beaded empire waists, and included maid of honor, Katrina Weber; bridesmaids, Ashley Smith, Melissa Hutchins and Amie Smithwick; and flower girl, Megan Hutchins.

The groom is the son of George and Sandy McMichael of Sterling. He is a 2002 graduate of the MLS Academy of Higher Learning. Scott served the nation six years in the U.S. Army. He attends the University of Alaska Anchorage and is working on his bachelor's degree in construction management. He is employed as the head carpenter for Faltz Landscaping. He wore a black pin-striped tuxedo with gray vest and black and gray striped tie. John White served as best man and wore a black pin-stripe tuxedo with navy blue vest and tie. Groomsmen Brian Hopper, Tyler Tyrrell and Bryan Hutchins were attired in black pin-stripe tuxedos with navy blue vests and ties. Usher Robbie Smithwick wore black slacks and striped button up shirt while ring bearer Johnny Smithwick was dressed to match the groom.

The reception was held at the home of the parents of the bride in Kenai.

The couples make their home in Anchorage.
