Three people were taken to Central Peninsula General Hospital on Wednesday morning following a car crash on Funny River Road.
None of the injuries was considered to be life threatening.
Alaska State Troopers and Central Emergency Services responded at about 10 a.m. to a report of a two-vehicle collision near Mile 12.5 of Funny River Road where Brian Yandell, 38, of Sterling, reportedly lost control of a Toyota pickup truck, went off the pavement, overcorrected and began sliding sideways down the road.
The Toyota was struck broadside by a Ford sedan, driven by Larry Robbins, 65, of Soldotna.
Robbins and a passenger, Marlene Robbins, 55, of Soldotna, were taken to the hospital for treatment of a possible neck and possible leg injury, respectively.
Yandell was taken to the hospital for treatment of head lacerations.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is continuing, according to a trooper spokesperson.
