5 earn diplomas from Cook Inlet


In a ceremony on Mother's Day, May 14, five students graduated from Cook Inlet Academy. Noah Shields was the class valedictorian.

Noah Shields

Noah was home schooled in elementary and junior high school before entering CIA for high school. He has focused on academics, sports and living by Biblical principles. On mission trips he has visited Russia, Peru and Bolivia. He was captain of the basketball team this year and of the cross country running team last year. He also has served as student body president, president of his church youth group and been a finalist in the Caring for the Kenai contest. He plans to attend Southwestern Assembly of God University. His parents are Don and Jan Shields.
