End of year activity made possible by graciousness

On May 18, five primary classes from Nikiski North Star Elementary had the opportunity to go on a field trip to the Orca Theater to view the educational and entertaining movie EARTH.

This was a great way to help wrap up our school year, and it was made possible by Shelly, who handled all the theater arrangements for the trip. She managed to get us a very reasonable rate on tickets and popcorn and drinks for the students.

Every step of the way, she was professional and gracious. Thank you for being a part of our central peninsula community!

THE REC GUIDE

WINTER ACTIVITIES

If you think the Kenai Peninsula is beautiful in the summer, you should see it when cloaked under a thick blanket of white with the aurora borealis rippling through the celestial canopy above.

BERRIES OF THE KENAI PENINSULA

Whether intentionally seeking berries for jellies and jams or just out for a casual hike, residents and visitors will find the 50-some varieties of wild berries in Alaska hard to resist.

COMMON SENSE SURVIVAL

There’s adventure and beauty in the wild country, but also an element of risk.
