Area nurses earn RN certification through Weber State

Thirteen licensed practical nurses graduated from a one-year nursing program through Weber State University, based in Ogden, Utah, on May 12.

The Weber State extension program, in conjunction with Central Peninsula General Hospital, Heritage Place nursing facility and Kenai Peninsula College, allowed students to earn certification to become registered nurses.

Several of the students also completed a Weber State program last year to earn their LPN certification.
