4-H has a variety of summer activities planned, including:

  • June 1-4: Advanced horse camp, Ninilchik. 4-H'ers and non-4-H'ers welcome. Experience with horses required. Ages: Third to 12th grades. Phone: Shirley Schollenberg, 567-3467.

  • June 5: Horse show, Ninilchik. (Same requirements as advanced camp.)

  • June 6-8: Beginner horse camp. 4-H'ers and non-4-H'ers welcome. Ages: Third to 12th grades. Phone: Shirley Schollenberg, 567-3467.

  • Canoe trip: Open only to 4-H'ers in seventh through 12th grades. Phone: 262-5824.

  • June 15: Deadline to enroll in 4-H. Kindergarten through 12th grades. Phone: 262-5824.

  • June 29: 4-H Fun Day at the beach. Families welcome. Phone: 262-5824.

  • July 12-15: Palmer 4-H camp. 4-H'ers and non-4-H'ers welcome. Ages: 9-13. Cost: $125 before July 1. Call (907) 745-3360 or stop by the Soldotna Cooperative Extension Service office for the registration form.
