Soldotna resident Gary Floyd Beauchamp died Friday, May 2, 2008, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna with his family by his side. He was 57.

Mr. Beauchamp was born August 29, 1950, to Floyd and Edna Beauchamp in Racine, Wis. He moved to Alaska in 2006 to be closer to his family. Mr. Beauchamp enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting and snowmachining. Mr. Beauchamp was an organ and tissue donor and donated his corneas to Life Alaska in hopes of helping someone else.

Mr. Beauchamp is survived by his brother, Larry Beauchamp, of Soldotna; and sisters, Diane Oleson of Soldotna, Debra King of Soldotna and Patricia Sirks of Wisconsin.
