Hedberg, Scott cruise into marriage
Angela Hedberg and Jesse Scott were married in an afternoon ceremony, Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, in Miami aboard the cruise ship Carnival Valor.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Vergine Hedberg of Kenai. She wore an A-line dress made of chiffon with an empire waist and a low back. She carried a bouquet of fuschia gerbera daisies with the black center. Mystie Taite of Denver, Colo., served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids included Katie Savage of Chandler, Ariz., and Arianna Sikorski of Los Angeles. The brides attendant's wore black knee-length halter dresses. Angela is a 2000 graduate of Soldotna High School, attended Arizona State University and graduated from The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in 2005. She is self-employed with a Rolfing practice in Chandler.
The groom's parents are Scot and Myla Bushman of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Stuart and Linda Scott of Marshall, Minn. Jesse wore a black tux with a white vest and white tie. The groom's brother, Steve Scott, served as best man. The groomsmen included Jared Skemp and Anthony Cicciarelli of Scottsdale, and Eric Salnas of Dallas, Texas. The groom's younger brother, Matthew Scott, performed the duties of ring bearer. Jesse is a 1999 graduate of Sahuaro High School in Scottsdale and attended Scottsdale Community College and Mesa Community College. He is employed with a family business as a TV repairman.
The wedding reception was held in a small step disco aboard the ship.
Guests flew from Alaska, Arizona, California, Texas, Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, New York, North Carolina and Florida to help Angela and Jesse celebrate their nuptials.
The couple honeymooned aboard ship for seven nights to the Eastern Caribbean, including the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Maarten.
The couple first met Thursday, April 7, 2005, at the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church in Chandler. They were engaged Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in Kenai on the Kenai beach at sunset.
They make their home in Chandler.
