Burn permits needed starting Saturday

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry will begin requiring burning permits for any new or continuing open burning starting Saturday.

The division has limited staff on weekends, so individuals should get their permits today for the weekend. For more information, call the division at 260-4222.
