Volunteers provide far more than breakfast for students

Dating back to the 1999-2000 school year, a selfless and compassionate group from the Soldotna United Methodist and Our Lady of the Angels Catholic (Kenai) churches have been providing breakfast for the students of Kenai Alternative High School.

Regardless of what the weather conditions may be these wonderful people get to the school before 7 a.m. day after day.

Kenai Alternative is very appreciative of these fine folks who have provided thousands of breakfasts for the students at Kenai Alternative High School: Hal and Susan Smalley, Jon and Dee Benner, Alicia Morgan, Don and Leslie Hamilton, Dana Hallett, Dale Kelly, Sister Joyce Ross, Sister Joan Barina, Leon and Mary Quesnel, Ron Fullnick, George and Dorothy Shaw, Jim and Jackie Hampton, Linda McNair, Sal and Kathy Mattero, Gail Keith and Jeanie Berger.

Due to their care and time, they have provided an extremely important function for this school, not to mention their role modeling which has made the students' lives better in countless ways.
