Connections


Connections is enrolling students in kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2004-05 school year. Call 262-6315 for an enrollment appointment.

Seventh- and eighth-graders interested in participating in a mission at the Challenger Learning Center should sign up during enrollment. For more information, call the staff or stop by the office.

This year's eighth-graders taking the social studies high school exit exam for the first time will have the test available online through Friday. Details have been sent by letter and by e-mail to parents. Contact the office if you have not received this information.

Book club pamphlets for May and June are here and the last day to order items will be Friday.

The last day to turn in reimbursements for this school year is Friday.

There will be a curriculum fair at the Soldotna Sports Center today. There is a small fee.

Information now is available for several summer educational camps, ranging from outdoor science education to band and art camps. Brochures are in the office.

The following orientations are recommended for home-school families interested in enrolling students in one or two classes at the schools:

  • Kenai Middle School will host a parent night Thursday for families with children entering seventh and eighth grade.

  • Soldotna Middle School will host a home-school parent-student meeting at 9 a.m. and a school visit for students from 9:30 to 11 a.m. May 4.

  • Nikiski Middle-Senior High will host a seventh-grade orientation from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 4, starting with lunch and followed by a visitation to classrooms.
