Redoubt Elementary


Thanks to students for their hard work selling biomats. Proceeds from this fund-raiser will be used for a new computer lab. Biomat orders should be turned in today.

Sixth-graders will visit Soldotna Middle School from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday. Sixth Grade Parent Night will take place at Soldotna Middle School at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

New student registration is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 10 to 14. This registration is for new students not currently enrolled at Redoubt who are planning to start school at Redoubt in the fall.

Copies of the school yearbook may be reserved for $15. Order forms are available at the school office. Yearbooks will arrive in May.

The final Fun Fest of the year will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Students must have their permission slips and money turned in by Thursday morning in order to stay.

Students riding bicycles, skateboards, scooters and roller blades to school must wear a helmet. Bicycles should be parked in the racks provided. The fence may not be used. Bicycle locks are highly recommended. Hard baseballs and bats are not allowed at school.

The site council meets at 3:45 p.m. May 5 in the conference room. Meetings are open to the public.

The student council is sponsoring a spirit week through Friday. Today is Blue Day; Thursday is Red Day; and Friday is Wacky or Sport Spirit Day.

There will be no chess club Thursday.

The last stamp club meeting for the year will be Tuesday.

School volunteers will be honored at a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10.

All library books should be returned by May 14.

Title I services are being planned for the 2004-05 school year. Contact Mrs. Hale or Miss Rosin at 262-9006 with comments or suggestions.

Congratulations to Wells Fargo poster contest winners Shaylee Brenton, first; Xochi Harbison and Morgan Lancaster, second; and Delaney Love, third.

Elias Patten correctly guessed Mrs. Harding in the Guess the Teacher contest.

Mr. Ball's sixth-graders raised $275 for Central Peninsula Hospice through their bake sales. Thanks to everyone who bought items.
