Rotary provides life-changing experience for local student
I am writing this letter to express my everlasting gratitude to the Soldotna Rotary Club for my recently awarded scholarship and the wonderful, life-changing experience the group provided for me through its International Exchange program.
I am so proud to have been given the honor and responsibility of representing our local Rotary, as well as our country, in the endeavor to promote positive international relations and awareness. The people I have met and bonded with during my exchange have changed me for life in a very positive way. Not only was I given the opportunity to become a global citizen, but I have decided to make international relations my major in college.
Now, more than ever, it is so important to our country that we continue to pursue the Rotarian principles of promoting international understanding and peace through exposure to other cultures.
I hope that in the future, through my professional and personal lifestyle, I will be able to give back to the Rotary even half of what it has given to me.
