Honrud Dinner/Auction features new Polaris ATV

Paula Bowman of A-1 Enterprises with the Youth 4 Wheeler to be auctioned at the benefit for Cody Honrud's family Saturday night.

According to Shanon Hamrick, of the KPTMC, this Saturday March 22nd a Dinner/Auction Fundraiser is being held to help Cody Honrud’s familiy at the Soldotna Sports Center with doors opening at 5:30pm, dinner at 6:00pm and the auction to start at 7:00pm.

The dinner is only $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children with beverages provided by Kassik’s Kenai Brew Stop with all proceeds being donated to the Cody Honrud Fund. Auction items include a new Youth 4 Wheeler, 2-place snow machine trailer and fish cleaning table, Halibut charters for 6, an alarm system, flight seeing and fly-out fishing trips, and numerous items that have been donated by businesses and individuals throughout the community. “People have stepped up in a big way and we are still receiving items but I can promise you there’ll be something there for everyone including a balloon pop so if all you wanted to do is bring a $20 bill you can come away with a great prize and help out a great family,” Hamrick told the Dispatch.

Prior to the event auction items may be dropped off at Instant Replay in the Soldotna Sports Center. Accounts have also been opened at Alaska USA to receive contributions to help with medical costs, “Just ask for the Cody Honrud Fund and you can donate directly,” added Hamrick.
