Tuneful singers sought

The Sweet Adelines singers meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays in the music room at Skyview High School in Soldotna.

Caregiver meetings offered

The National Family Caregiver Support Program will hold the following meetings:

* Kenai From 1 to 3 p.m. today, a presentation on "Dementia: Communicating and Relating" will be held at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. Julie Beatty of Alzheimer's Resource Agency of Alaska will be the featured speaker.

* Soldotna From to 1 to 3 p.m. March 25, a caregiver support meeting will be held at the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center.

Little League registration continues

The Soldotna and Kenai Little League registration continues at the following locations:

* Soldotna 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and from 2 to 6 p.m. March 29 at the Soldotna Little League office, next to Sal's Diner. For more information, call Vicki at 398-6363.

* Kenai 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and March 28 and from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and March 29 at the Kenai Safeway Store.

Kenai Little League offers indoor baseball clinics Tuesdays at the Kenai Middle School. Clinics for players ages 5 through 10 are from 6 to 7 p.m. and players ages 11 and over are from 7 to 8 p.m.

Spring break day camp offered

Grace Lutheran Church and School will hold a spring break day camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the church on Ciechanski Road, one block off Kalifornsky Beach Road. Early drop-off for working parents is available at 8 a.m. Activities will include information on the resurrection of Jesus and all believers, crafts, bingo, cookie decorating, singing, a hot dog lunch and roller skating from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Children ages 3 through grade six are eligible. Preschoolers need a parent to go roller-skating or pick them up at the church at 12:30 p.m. To enroll or for more information, call Laura Ganshow at 398-9548 or Pastor Tom Schmidt at 283-6297.

Seniors plan Easter activities

The Nikiski Senior Citizens Center will hold an Easter breakfast brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 and under.

An Easter egg hunt will begin at 1:30 March 23. Prizes will be awarded for ages groups 1 to 3, 4 to 7 and 8 to 12.

T-200 meeting slated

The Tustumena Sled Dog Race Association will meet at 7 p.m. March 27 at The Riverside House in Soldotna. Nominations for officers, three board members and a musher representative are on the agenda. For more information, call 283-8426.

Counseling association to meet

The Kenai Peninsula Counseling Association will meet from noon to 1 p.m. April 7 at 35126 K-B Dr. No. 3 in Soldotna. It is open to the public. For more information or directions, e-mail Beth at bselby@alaska.net

Dinner, auction fundraiser planned

A spaghetti dinner with all the trimmings and auction fundraiser to benefit Marcus Yamada will be held 6 p.m. April 5 at the Kenai Moose Lodge. Yamada is in the Seattle Children's Hospital undergoing treatment for promyeloytic leukemia.

A tax deductible account has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank through Bridges Community Resource Network, Inc.

Donations are being accepted for auction items, by calling Jenny McGrady at 394-3452, Kenny Yamada at 335-4180 or Bill Neiderhauser at 283-3495.

Community members wanting to send a message to Yamada, sign a guest book or get updates on his condition may visit www.caringbridge.com, using marcusyamada for the site name.
