Robert Rall’s January 30 letter was nothing more than a paranoid rant. The Muslims elected into offices in this country are citizens of this country, just like me and you, Robert. And let’s not forget the most important word here — they were ELECTED. Is this paranoia reminiscent of the days before civil rights? How about the days before women’s suffrage? There are extremists in all walks of life Mr. Ralls. Especially in religion; Whether it be Muslims, or Christians. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never had a Muslim banging on my door on a Saturday morning, trying to cram their religious literature down my throat. Yet, I don’t think all Christians are out bombing abortion clinics, either.

There are many, many different religions being practiced in this great country of ours. What a fantastic thing it is, to have the freedom to do so — or to NOT do so (that’s a little comment for Alice Shannon, by the way). Tolerance is the only thing that we all aught to agree on.
