Linda Marie Cole

Former Soldotna resident Linda Marie Cole, 47, died Jan. 30, 2010, of a heart attack and stroke in Pomona, Calif.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 9, in Bakersfield, Calif.

Ms. Cole was born Feb. 16, 1963, in Eaton Rapids, Mich., to Arthur R. Cole and Ida H. Cockroft. She had an associates degree business and marketing and worked as a sales associate for Disney Stores in California.

"Linda loved her work and Disney and enjoyed being at such a happy place. This bright star was taken suddenly by a heart attack and stroke at too young of an age. Her laughter and joyful sounds are sorely missed," her family said.

Ms. Cole was preceded in death by her father; brother, David Russell Cole; and son, Kristohpher Scott Kodysz.

She is survived by sons, Dominic Kodysz, Morgan Kodysz, and Logan Kodysz, all of California; mother of Alaska; brothers, Scott Cole and Carter Cole, both of Alaska; sisters, Theresa Coombs of Utah, and Cynthia Dexter of Alaska; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were made by Greenlawn SW Memorial.
