Snowshoe hares and porcupines sometimes track sunspot cycle

Snowshoe hare populations roughly track the sunspot cycle near Kluane Lake in the Yukon Territory. The sunspot high was weaker in the last cycle, peaking in 2000, and the hare cycle peaked earlier than in the previous cycles with higher sunspot numbers.
