KCHS Class of 2000 graduates 93 students
	Kenai Central High School gave another class of Kardinals wings in commencement exercises May 23.

5 earn diplomas from Cook Inlet   In a ceremony on Mother's Day, May 14, five students graduated from Cook Inlet Academy. Noah Shields was the class valedictorian.

Nine graduate from IDEA   Nine Kenai Peninsula students graduated from the Interior Distance Education of Alaska program this year.

Ninilchik School honors 19 graduates on May 21   In keeping with a tradition started in Ninilchik years ago, seniors included parents and grandparents in the May 21 ceremony by honoring them with roses. English teacher Penny Vadla was selected by the class to give the commencement address.

	Sentiments of fun and fondness marked Soldotna High School's graduation ceremony on May 18. The seniors chose two of their teachers as the main commencement speakers: science teacher Patrick Nolden and English and drama teacher Michael Druce.

	More than 80 graduates received their diplomas May 2 as Kenai Peninsula College observed its 30th commencement at Kenai Central High School Auditorium.

	To begin Nikiski High School's graduation ceremony, which was held May 22, different graduates serenaded the crowd with spirited renditions of "The Star Spangled Banner," "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" and "Sicili-enne."

107 receive diplomas at Homer's commencement   Homer High School honored eight of its 108 graduates as valedictorians. Principal Rich Patton completed his final graduation ceremony with the school, giving praise to this year's class and its record number of valedictorians.
